Harrow & Hope - Brut Rosé NV No 2

A deliciously balanced fruity sparkling wine

Harrow & Hope create this Rosé with a focus on fruit expression and pleasure; combining a soft and approachable structure that balances enjoyment with enough complexity and intrigue to keep you coming back for more.  A large part of their effort is focused on the red wine component that lends the colour, red fruit and vinous character to the wine.

No 2 is based on the 2018 harvest, a watershed year in the UK, with an almost faultless season of record low rainfall and record levels of sunshine and heat, giving the rare combination of generous yields and great ripeness.

Blend: 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Meunier
Lees Ageing: Minimum 32 months
Total Acidity: 7.5g/l
Residual Sugar: 7.5g/l

Harrow and Hope is a UK winery based in Marlow.  Their single vineyard sits on an ancient Thames gravel terrace, where water flowed about 450,000 years ago. For thousands of years the Thames cut down into the gravels and chalk, and left a terrace with steep slopes with large deposits of flint gravel, mixed into thick orange clay lying on top of the chalk. This is classic ‘Thames Terroir’ and exists all around the valley at various heights above sea level. Being quite central and away from the coast the vineyard experiences high summer day temperatures with cooler nights that preserve their precious acidity.

Grown, picked and expertly blended by the same team on the same site, each glass of Harrow & Hope is a tribute to traditional method viticulture and winemaking, to the unique characteristics of Marlow and to the spirit of the team.

Harrow & Hope are solely dedicated to the production of Traditional Method sparkling wines. Their aim is to express the unique character of their single vineyard in both their Vintage & Non-Vintage blends.
